SHIV. SHAKTI.
Travelling long back to Brahma Loka the God of all Gods, Lord Shiva was passionately in love with Mahasahkti and Lord Shiva wanted to marry Mahashakti. Mahasahkti is the divine mother she is the creative force who manifests the entire universe including all the Gods and Goddesses. She is the active side of Brahman the absolute cause of the universe (Soul) that contains everything but is neutral, non-active, beyond it all. Mahashakti is too unvisual to marry anybody.
Mahashakti tried to explain this to Shiva but lord shiva was in deep love with her. Unfortunately, she had to reject his love humbly, later Shiva did nothing but sit in the cave and meditate. Without his presence, the world started to fall apart. The evolutionary cycle of creation, supervision, and devastation lost its dynamism and began to run down.
The other good tried to persuade Shiva to bring back to work but he sent them away. Eventually, they asked for help from Mahashakti and she decided to help them and bring them back to lord shiva to continue his work. She manifested her energy as the Goddess Sati as an aspect of Shakti's femininity, magnificence, and devotion.
Later mahashakti decided to take birth in the form of Sati into a family of deities with fine intellects who quickly learned all the skills and dignities needed to create an incredible environment. Sati knew she was going to wed Shiva and when she was 16 she went to Mt. Kailash and meditated outside his cave. Shiva felt her preference deep in his eminence and was stunned no one had been able to reach him on this level before. He opened his third eye and manifested her magnificence. He opened his intellect to hers and manifested her brilliance. He invited her into his cave, and they meditated together. It didn't take long before Shiva acknowledged there was no more life than meditating.
They wanted to wed, but Sati’s father (Daksh) disliked Shiva, feeling he was an unruly reprobate undeserving of his daughter. After much persuasion by Sati, Sati's Dad (Daksh) reluctantly put in his consent, and the two were married in a lavish rite attended by all the Gods.
The joyful couple made their residence in Mount Kailash. Shiva fulfilled his duties and responsibilities to keep the cosmos running smoothly but spent most of his time blissfully together with Sati in their mountain shelter.
Stai's dad (Daksh) kept a grievance against Shiva so he arranged an incredible ritual sacrifice and invited all the divine beings except for Shiva and Sati. Sati was extremely angry at that moment Shiva tried to calm her but she stormed back to her parent's palace and slammed into the ritual. Satis' father (Daksh) offended Shiva. Sati could not beat any additional information of Shiva so she leapt into the sacrificial fire and burned to death.
Shiva was in grief for having his wife and their love destroyed. Shiva was unable to control his anger he dispatched a battalion of soldiers who destroyed the sacrifice and killed Sati's father (Daksh). When Shiva arrived later and saw the massacre his anger turned into compassion. He revived the father but replaced his head with that of a goat. He lifted Satis's body onto his shoulders and went stalking through the cosmos oblivious of everything except for his grief. His pain was apparent so he again renounced his duties returned to his cave and sought refuge in samadhi, consciousness.
This time the consequences of his departure were even nastier than before. Without Shiva to destroy the demons, they multiplied and began harassing the Gods and terrorizing humanity. Mahashakti decided to intervene to restore Shiva’s happiness and prevent the universe from sinking into chaos
She again manifested part of her energy, this period as a dual Goddess of Shakti. One side, called Parvati, embodies the tender aspects of femininity, love, motherhood, family life, abundance, nourishment, and harmony. The other side, called Durga, embodies the strong aspects of femininity, creative power, instinctive wisdom, devastation of evil, and fierce protection of the weak. Born under a Gemini moon, Parvati-Durga could integrate these two sides. She knew it was her dharma (destiny, responsibility, and duty) to wed Shiva and restore the world to balance.
Shiva was still in grief he wasn't ready for another relationship so when Parvati (3 forms of druga) meditated outside his cave, Shiva ignored her. The cosmos continued to decline, so the gods convinced Kama, the Lord of love and romance, to stir desire in Shiva, standing at the entrance to his cave, kama shot a sugarcane arrow into his heart.
Shiva came out of the meditation, Shiva saw the gorgeous Parvati- Durga was filled with lust. Then he saw Kama and acknowledged he had been fooled. With a beam of fire he incinerated Kama and with harsh words sent Parvati-Durga away.
She left but she didn't give up. Through long practice, she became a master yogi and developed celestial powers with Shiva. She achieved the ability to meditate on the highest spiritual plane, Shiva's realm. He couldn't vanish her because now Parvati was equal to Shiva. They meditated together, and slowly, Shiva's pain was recovered and he fell in love with Parvati he knew this noblewoman to be sati repaying to him, a second gift and blessing from Mahashakti. Shiva asked Parvati for forgiveness for his rude behavior, and then asked for her hand for the wedding, she smiled and said yes.
Shiva and Parvati, we're married, attended by not only all gods but also by nature and human spirits and human saints. The enlightenment power of their union caused the demons to slink back into the dark corners of creation and the universe to swing back into rhythmic balance.
